Are you one of the 59% of workers in the UK that feel stress on the job? This April, as we help build awareness of Stress Awareness Month, we look at ways technology can encourage our staff to use different methods to help relieve stress.
Throughout April our staff will be taking part, and testing four stress relieving apps to determine which one helped them the most with their stress levels. Our shortlisted four apps to test out are, recently popularised adult colouring books (for your phone), Headspace, Calm and Pacifica, will all be used for one week at a time during April.
Our team will review and give their honest opinions on the apps, hopefully helping them along the way to relieve any stress they may have. Follow our review of each app on social media and why not try them out yourselves? At the end of the month we will deliberate and hopefully decide on the best stress relieving app for our team.
Since 1922, Stress Awareness Month has taken place to educate people about the effects of stress. As it stands, the Mental Health Foundation has reported that 74% of adults have felt so stressed at some point over the last year they have felt overwhelmed and unable to cope. On top of this, 85% of UK adults are experiencing stress regularly.
Stress in the workplace is more prevalent than ever, with the pressures of delivering to increasing KPI’s and targets, it can become difficult to avoid stress. The issue was accountable for the majority of sick days lost last year and as a business, implementing solutions to help relieve stress for workers could be crucial to help your organisation. As we focus on building awareness of how to reduce stress in the workplace, we recommend trialling out these apps with us, and let us know your opinion on which one works best for you.
It is time to combat stress making you more efficient, productive and inspired to do more at work. If you want to learn more about who we are, click here to find out more…
