The Wolverhampton-based company, a leading provider of technology solutions for recruitment process outsourcing (RPO), vendor managed services and Travel & Subsistence (T&S), claimed the Black Country Asian Business Association’s (BCABA) Innovation & Enterprise Award.
Judges described the firm as a business that demonstrated ‘true innovation’ and one that has the ‘potential to transform the numerous sectors it works in’.
They also praised Zeel for its ability to respond to market requirements and provide products that delivered bottom-line benefits for its customer base.
Rav Cheema, Managing Director, commented: “We are delighted to have been recognised by our peers for the way have brought innovation to the recruitment sector and for putting Asian business into the national spotlight.
“The BCABA Awards is one of the biggest in the Asian calendar and is testimony to the hard work of our 24-staff, who work tirelessly to keep us two steps ahead.”
The last 18 months has seen Zeel develop a number of new solutions, including the introduction of ‘Zpayplus’, a web-based pay and bill solution that is the first step towards the creation of a ‘one stop shop’ for back office functionality.
It has also made major strides in the healthcare sector, which is now two and a half years into the ‘Nicholson Challenge’, that has placed increased pressure on NHS Trusts to achieve £20bn of efficiency savings.
Zeel’s response has been to adapt its ‘Zrecruiter’ solution for this market and this is already being used to place thousands of temporary and permanent staff in the medical arena.
Importantly, this technology promises to save the NHS £140,000 on every £1m spent on locums.
Rav added: “Innovation was what the business was formed on and we’ve stuck to these principles from day one. This is reflected in the level of investment we channel into continually updating our solutions so they meet what clients are looking for.
‘”As a team, we are overjoyed at our recent award success; there is nothing more pleasing than recognition of our efforts from both inside and outside the recruitment sector.”
Zeel currently holds ISO 9001:2008 and ISAE 3402, a global accreditation that monitors business processes, IT operations and security. It is the only software provider in the UK to have been awarded this standard.
